A Letter from Brad & Heather
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us! After experiencing years of infertility, miscarriages and a failed surrogacy, God’s plan has led us to adoption. As first-time parents, we are excited to open our home and our hearts to your child.
We are healthy, financially stable and have a fantastic support system around us in our families and friends.
We both share a hard work ethic and love of laughter and it would our honor to bring your child on our life-long journey of faith, love, and compassion.
We have been married for five and a half years and our love story is our favorite story to tell. We were introduced by Brad’s brother and Heather’s sorority sister. (Who are now also married!) After months of long-distance dating, Brad moved the three hours south and the rest is history.
We enjoy spending time with family and friends, watching sports and doing anything that will make us laugh. Perhaps our favorite thing to do together is watch the Indianapolis Colts as we are huge fans and try and go to a couple of games a year. Our weekend go-to’s include dinner and a movie in the winter and putt-putt in the summer. We are excited to share our love of the Colts with our child and look forward to turning the weekends into trips to the playgrounds and fun museums.
Brad is the person that makes everyone laugh. He is positive, kind and loves life. Brad is the oldest of three boys and is the Replenishment Manager for a regional chain of pool and spas. He is an extremely hard worker, enjoys watching sports and, though I hate to admit it, he is a better dancer than me. Brad has become quite handy around the house and assists me with my crafting business doing all of the work that requires tools!
Brad is looking forward to sharing his love of sports and finding out what makes our child laugh so he can spend his days doing that.
The thing I love most about Heather is how thoughtful of a person she is. She is outgoing and the person people always want to be around. Heather is the Sr. Director of Admissions for a mid-size university and, while work keeps her busy, she always finds the time to volunteer in the community, and serves on the Board of Directors.
Heather enjoys dancing and singing karaoke when she has the chance. She recently discovered a love of crafting and enjoys coming up with new designs using her Cricut. At every family event, she is always the one the kids hang all over and she loves playing games with them.
I know she is going to be the greatest mom and that she is excited to share her love of crafting and singing with our child.
We own a three-bedroom home in a subdivision that has many families with children. Our home has an open floor plan and a great front yard with plenty of green grass to run and play in. We have already picked out baby’s room and look forward to filling it with decorations, love, bedtime stories and fun. Our home is really close to multiple parks and even a lake with fishing, which is something Heather loves. We hope to move to our forever home in the next couple of years where we will have even more space to host fmaily and friends.
We also share our home with our dog, Lola. When Brad proposed, he brought home Lola and tied the ring around her collar. We love taking her on walks around the neighborhood. She loves everyone she meets and particularly enjoys playing with children.
Both of our parents have been married for over 35 years and we are extremely close to them. Heather’s parents live an hour away and Brad’s live three hours away, yet we see them often. Brad’s extended family lives in the town next to ours, so it’s really nice to have family really close to visit and get together with. Brad’s brother and his wife are two of our very best friends! We are also very close to Brad’s youngest brother and often go to Colts game with him. We absolutely adore our niece and nephew and are so excited for them to have a cousin to play with.
Our promise is to give your child all the love in our hearts. We promise to teach them kindness, compassion, and honesty, while rooting everything in faith and in laughter. We promise to make education a priority and make sure that every night when they go to sleep they know they are loved. We will support them through their dreams, encourage their passions and help them to grow up knowing their story! We look forward to keeping in touch with you through letters, pictures, and visits as you feel most comfortable.

More About Our Family
Our Special Interests
We really enjoy spending time with our family and friends. We are very close to our parents and Brad's siblings. We love to watch the Indianapolis Colts play football and enjoy going to games. When we have a free weekend night we enjoy a dinner and movie date night. We love to dance and even had our own choreographed dance of songs ranging from NSYNC, "Bye, Bye, Bye" to Brooks and Dunn, "Boot Scoot and Boogie". Our absolute favorite thing to do together is laugh. A home full of laughter and love is what is most important to us.
Heather was baptized and confirmed a Lutheran. We were married at the same church that both Heather's grandparents and parents were married at. Brad was raised Christian. While Heather is still an active member of her Lutheran church near home, we visit a local Christian church from time to time. We plan to baptize our child at the same place both Heather and her mother were, in the Lutheran church. We plan for our child to attend a private Christian elementary school, as the quality of the education is wonderful, and semi-regular attendance at church will be important in raising them child with faith and love.
Our Musical Interest
While we both enjoy all types of music, Heather's favorite is country, while Brad prefers R&B. One of Heather's favorite things to do is karaoke, but she prefers to be known as an entertainer, rather than a singer.
About Our Home
We own our home and have lived in it for a little over six years. It is a cozy, modest, 3 bedroom house that we have updated over the years.
